“As much as possible, I tried to stay within the  framework of the original presentation of the songs.  In a lot of ways, it’s like when a songwriter brings me a song.  If that song dictates a mood, I stay as close to that as I possibly can because that’s part of the essence of the song.  Also, staying close to the way the songs were orginally done recognizes the greatness of those arrangements.  But hopefully, I changed just enough so that people might feel like they’re a bit of mine, too.”   Don Williams.
